Birthed from our faithful old food van ‘The Soul Roller’, where we’ve enjoyed serving queues of happy Londoners from since 2014; our story through shipping containers in Shoreditch and the City, began with tents in Soho and Maltby Street Market, pub residencies in Hackney and a pop up at Streetfeast. Now for bricks n’ mortar!
Find the van at the award-winning Brockley Market Saturdays and Finsbury Ave Sq week days 12-2. We’ll be opening our first bricks n mortar site on Watling Street, EC4M soon! Stay tuned!

Our attention to detail begins with the bread: soft American deli-style sub rolls, freshly baked to a secret yielding bagel-brioche dough recipe for perfect consistency and flavour – then loaded with innovative ingredients.
In our pursuit to deliver some of London’s best sandwiches, all Sub Cult subs are made fresh to order using premium suppliers such as our butchers Flock & Herd, supplying grass fed, rare breed meats from small farms, quality veg and dairy suppliers and sustainable seafood from Brixham, with quality coffee from Allpress to wash em’ down!

Sub Cult are Ben Chancellor and Gareth 'Gaz' Phillips, who met at a rave at the turn of the millennium.
Whilst Ben's pilgrimages to New York's hallowed delis were the original inspiration for the fare, Gaz's formal fine dining training ensures the sandwiches are a cut above: winning national awards judged by Michelin star chefs leading to collaborating with several decorated names in-house themselves.
The heart of Sub Cult's brand is the love of music sub cultures, influenced by the boys time on the 90's dance scene and Ben's past adherence to all things Mod.

Sub Cult are opening on Watling St soon. In the meantime the ‘Soul Roller’ van appears regularly at various spots and markets across London including Brockley Market on Saturdays… Keep an eye on social channels for the latest goings on.
